The first public qualifier for KODE5 Germany took place online this weekend, with likes of mousesports, ESC, Ledpc, hoorai.XQ, Alternate, n!faculty and more.It should be a great test for the newly formed rosters of the German teams, while several foreign teams tried their luck in the German qualifier. Favorites from mousesports could not play with Fatih "gob b" Dayik during day one and had to use Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel instead. He did however, along with the rest of mousesports, bring the team through to day two. Alternate and n!faculty both also qualified for day two without too much of a hassle.
Day two should see Alternate and n!faculty fighting one of the two spots for the regional finals. The Spanish challengers from Ledpc had a tough task ahead of, as they took on mousesports for the second spot.
Alternate recently brought back Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer, while n!faculty had just changed two players and would be playing with Christopher "cash" Steen and Max "ODIE" Knappe for first time officially.
Alternate started best with a fairly comfortable win on inferno by 16:10. On nuke and dust2, n!faculty did however manage to find a solution to break Alternate. With 16:5 on nuke and 16:7 on dust2, n!faculty secured themselves a spot for the KODE5 Germany regional finals at ICY BOX Electronic Sports Center, 28-29th of March in Teltow, Germany.

Second semi final of the day, mousesports with Fatih "gob b" Dayik, secured first map against Ledpc by winning 16:5. On inferno, the Spaniards took a big lead by winning their T side 12:3. At first the gab seemed too big of a task for the Germans, but by great play from especially Franz "gore" Burghardt, it started to look way brighter. Ledpc was however still close to a win on inferno and with 3 round wins, it was just a matter of time, before the Spaniards took their last round. The last round needed was won and Ledpc took the match to the third and all deciding map, with a 16:12 win on inferno. Starting as CT on nuke, mousesports quickly regain control of the match and their CT side was executed with an 11:4 win. Even with Ledpc winning the pistol round and the following eco round by mousesports, the Germans was able to dish up with great T play, securing five rounds, in order to win 16:6 overall.
